Practical advice and a clear record

A proper review of the home setup

Employees working from home need a setup that supports the way they work.

Our assessor-led virtual assessment gives you a practical review of an employee’s home workstation, clear recommendations and a written record for your organisation.

A named WLUK representative oversees the arrangements, report delivery and next steps.

If the employee has persistent discomfort, a health condition or more complex needs, your WLUK representative will check whether specialist input would be more appropriate.

Your questions answered

Frequently asked questions

Do home and hybrid workers need DSE assessments?

Yes. Employers must assess workstations used by employees who qualify as DSE users, including those working regularly from home or under hybrid arrangements.

HSE defines DSE users as workers who use display screen equipment daily, for continuous periods of an hour or more. For hybrid employees, assessments should cover both their home and office working arrangements.

Does someone need to visit the employee’s home?

This offer is delivered virtually. If an onsite visit is appropriate, we discuss the arrangements and confirm a separate price before booking.

Does £83.75 also cover the employee’s office workstation?

No. This price covers the home workstation. If the office setup also needs reviewing, we confirm the appropriate scope and fee before booking.

Who carries out the assessment?

A trained DSE assessor reviews the employee’s home workstation and provides practical guidance and written recommendations.

What if the employee needs specialist support?

Your WLUK representative reviews the requirements before booking. If specialist input would be more appropriate, we explain the proposed service and price so you can approve it before proceeding.

Can we book several employees?

Yes. Bulk booking discounts are available on request. Your representative can help coordinate the arrangements.

Will we need to buy new equipment?

Not necessarily. The assessment considers practical adjustments to the existing setup. Where equipment is recommended, we can provide a separate quotation. Nothing is ordered without your approval.

Can you provide written confirmation for internal approval?

Yes. We can confirm the service scope and fee in writing before booking.

What if the employee still has problems afterwards?

We can clarify the report’s recommendations when required. A further virtual or phone review appointment can be arranged separately at £60 plus VAT.

What if we need to cancel?

For standard virtual assessments cancelled within two working days of the appointment, a charge of 60% of the agreed assessment fee applies. No cancellation fee applies if we can rebook the appointment for another employee.
